Structural Focus provided structural engineering design services as part of the adaptive re-use and rehabilitation of this 1931 building into a modern community center for the Webb School campus.

Services included: preliminary structural evaluation report; voluntary seismic retrofit and strengthening of concrete walls; gabled heavy-timber roof truss reinforcement to accommodate additional insulation and plywood weight; re-framing of south wall to more closely resemble the historic façade, including a second south wall supporting an exterior stair and porch; structural analysis of the existing exterior concrete walls to accommodate additional openings; north end wood stair reframing; design and detailing for exterior electrical and fire riser rooms; design and detailing to screen exterior mechanical equipment; and steel canopies at. exterior door openings.
